Guest post by Captain Rick Gromlich, Director of the Mission Support Integration Office (DCMS-5):
In late January, Command Master Chief Isherwood visited Base Support Unit (BSU) San Pedro and asked Station Los Angeles-Long Beach about their experiences with Logistics Transformation. On the DCMS Log, BMCS Cheyney, Officer in Charge, Station LA/LB, details his positive experiences using the new Mission Support Business Model and the Asset Logistics Management Information System (ALMIS).
He also provides an opportunity for us to address some of the supply chain issues being experienced at transformed units. CDR Koermer, Logistics Transformation Division Chief, CG-445, explains what we are doing to tackle these issues and what those of you in the field can do to alleviate some of your pain points.
As always, we appreciate your feedback and support. Please continue to share your experiences and challenges at AskMissionSupport@uscg.mil.
